Remember to check carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in your home, or your business to make sure they are in proper working order.

Be sure to call our Monitoring Center so we can place your account on test while you are testing your carbon monoxide and/or smoke detectors.

With the cold weather there is always the risk for carbon monoxide (CO) poisonings as heat sources are being turned on. Faulty or improperly installed furnaces can emit CO. Symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea, and confusion. At high levels, CO can cause death within minutes. If you suspect CO poisoning or your detector sounds go immediately outside and call 911.
