If you received a free fire extinguisher from the Springfield Fire Department, you may want to check it. The fire extinguisher may be part of a recall happening across the country.

Kidde has recalled 40 million fire extinguishers because of a clogging issue with the unit. The Springfield Fire Department says if you received an extinguisher from August 2016 to August 2017, you might have a defective model. You need to look on the bottom right hand corner to see if you have a recalled model number.
