On Feb. 22, 2019, the Springfield Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 1413 W. Glenwood. At the residence, officers discovered a vehicle linked to the suspect believed to be involved in more than 40 vehicle break-ins.

The warrant yielded the recovery of a stolen Toyota RAV4, two stolen firearms, a drone and illegal drugs. The firearms and the drone were stolen from three of the previously mentioned car break-ins.

“I’m very proud of the teamwork displayed by our Financial Crimes Unit throughout this investigation, and I believe their efforts will help keep more people from becoming victims of car break-ins,” said Property Crimes Lieutenant Jason Laub.

The investigation, which is being led by Corporal Justin Thorn, is still in progress and once completed, will be presented to the Greene County Prosecutors Office for review.
